Hahahahahahaha!!! okay - this one was just pure FUN! I had no idea what babbitty had up her wand-sleeve, but i knew there was something because of her smile.
however, i think DD may have missed something here - let me know what you all think. DD says that beedle must not have known an animagus or really what they were able/not to do. but. i put it to you - that rabbit HAD A WAND. could the witch not have known a spell to vocalize her thoughts - similar, say, to sonorus? by the use of wordless magic and holding the wand in her mouth.... just saying. DD, where are you to debate when i need you!!! -------------------- trust DD ---------- |

I just told hubby this morning that I love it that Jo actually planned a 'mistake' in her writing. But of course, Addreamy, you now make me wonder!!! But then, why wouldn't Dumbledore have wondered the same? Ack! Where is that Chocolate Frog Dumbledore portrait?? -------------------- ![]() How long has this Death been in the fridge? Thanks Addreamy and Snakey! |

Ya know I was thinking the same thing- about rabbits and hats!!!
Wouldn't it be so appropriate for it to be Ron's favorite tales..I mean his father is such a muggle fan??with the whole rabbit in and the hat?? :) |

Just read this - talk about better late than never!
If anyone's still around (or even if they're not) two things occured to me... What were the 'simple tricks' the charlatan was doing? Ordinary muggle-type conjuring tricks or actual magic? Then, DD's comment that those Muggles who are born with magical powers and have no apparent wizard ancestry can be assumed to have had a witch or wizard on their family tree somewhere in the remote past... Intriguing, not least because of JKR's idea-that-never-happened about a Muggle doing magic. I wondered when she changed her mind on this, and why.... and does it reflect a wizard prejudice or something that is actually 'true' of the HP world? And I loved the image of the witch-rabbit crossing the Channel in a cauldron with a sail and becoming an adviser to Henry VI. Why wasn't that in my text book? *crawls back behind the couch for another six months.... or so.....* |
